CONFIGURE FOR THE WORK

What will your system do?

Tell us the application and the outcome you need. The same GPU specification can support very different working requirements.

PLAY / DEVELOP

Gaming & game development

Size the GPU and CPU around games, engines, resolution and the frame-rate objective. Include streaming, capture, VR and 3D asset tools in your brief.

CREATE / VISUALIZE

Rendering, CAD & content

Match GPU memory to scenes and assets, then check the renderer, CAD application, driver and plug-ins. Display quality and storage also shape the workflow.

BUILD / EXPERIMENT

Plan around model size, precision, context and batch size. VRAM, system RAM and the exact framework build determine which workloads are practical.

ANALYSE / RESEARCH

Research & technical computing

Discuss numerical precision, dataset size and software support. Assess FP64 capability separately for double-precision-heavy simulation; gaming FPS and AI TOPS measure different work.

ENGINEERING THE SELECTION

Balance the whole workstation.

The GPU is one part of the specification. Keep capacity, compatibility and the complete workflow in view.

01

GPU memory & precision

Size dedicated VRAM for scenes, textures, models and working data. Separate it from system RAM and confirm the numerical precision your application needs.

02

CPU & system RAM

Choose processor performance, core count and RAM for the application. ECC memory depends on CPU, motherboard and DIMM support; it is not universal.

03

NVMe storage & data

Plan OS, projects, datasets and scratch space. Check drive slots, capacity, endurance needs and how storage devices share platform resources.

04

Power, case & acoustics

Match PSU, connectors and cable clearance to the actual graphics card. Assess airflow, CPU/GPU heat and acceptable noise for the working environment.

05

Expansion & multi-GPU

Multiple GPUs require a supported motherboard, CPU lanes, chassis, power, cooling and application. More cards do not automatically pool VRAM or improve gaming performance.

06

Applications & drivers

Confirm OS, app version, plug-ins, render engine and CUDA/framework compatibility. Select an appropriate driver and assess representative work alongside hardware specifications.

Specify the task before the tower.

For local AI, share model size, precision and context. For rendering, share scene complexity and the render engine. For gaming, share games, resolution and target settings. The workload guides the configuration.

Do you rent or lease high-end GPU workstations?

Yes. GPU WORLD offers physical GPU workstations on rent or lease, including major-brand systems and compatible custom builds. Share your workload, GPU/VRAM, quantity, destination and expected dates. Your quotation confirms the proposed configuration, availability, duration and commercial terms.

Can I request a rental period in days, weeks or months?

Tell us the period you need, expected dates, quantity and destination. We will review the requirement and confirm the proposed term and configuration in your rental or lease quotation.

Do you sell major brands and build custom workstations?

Yes. GPU WORLD supplies major-brand workstations and gaming desktops and builds custom GPU workstations. Request a particular family or share your application, GPU/VRAM, CPU, RAM, storage, budget and expansion needs for a compatible proposal.

Is GPU VRAM the same as system RAM?

No. Dedicated GPU VRAM stores data used by the GPU, while system RAM supports the CPU, applications and data pipeline. More system RAM does not automatically increase dedicated VRAM. The application and any supported offloading method determine how both are used.

Can a gaming desktop run AI, CAD or rendering?

It may, when the GPU, memory, OS and software support the workload. Some professional applications require specific hardware or certified drivers. Some scientific applications prioritize FP64 performance, which gaming FPS and AI TOPS do not measure. We review these requirements before proposing a configuration.

Can I configure a multi-GPU workstation?

Where the complete platform and application support it. We review physical fit, slot spacing, electrical lanes, PSU/cabling, airflow and software scaling. Multiple GPUs do not automatically act as one larger-memory GPU, and gaming support must be checked separately.

Will CUDA software run on any NVIDIA GPU?

The exact GPU architecture, operating system, driver, CUDA runtime and application or framework build must be compatible. Share software versions and required libraries before selecting hardware, especially for an older GPU or a newly released architecture.

How are models and configurations confirmed?

Choose a major-brand family or a custom build. Your quotation specifies the exact brand, model, components, compatibility, availability and commercial terms for the proposed system.
